La Need Machine – I Wish I Could Fly

I Wish I Could Fly” is a recently released song by La Need Machine, an exceptional Seattle-based band. It’s their second single this year that serves as a perfect follow-up of “Maria”, a song these skillful musicians released earlier in 2023. Soundwise, La Need Machine combines several complementary music genres to illustrate such rich and luxurious sonic imagery. Perhaps indie rock comes to mind first, but you’ll unquestionably hear how some of the finest properties borrowed from classic rock, punk rock, alt-country, indie pop, and Americana found their way into this sonic equation. La Need Machine use these additional elements as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details to uplift particular segments on an entirely new level, while the band remains loyal to the primary sonic direction. Therefore, these experimentations with different styles resulted in a magnificent song that will appeal to your listening apparatus no matter which music genre you prefer.

As soon as you press play, you’ll notice how exceptional female and male vocal harmonies emphasize all the instrumentations by skillfully balancing between low, mid, and high notes. Their vocal performances decorate all the segments and instrumentations but also give more complexity to the overall ambiance. It’s also good to mention that they fit nicely in the mix, so their voices unquestionably give more depth to the song. The irresistible combination of semi-distorted guitar leads, and arpeggiated chord progressions performed on acoustic guitars serve as a perfect backdrop for the mentioned vocal performance. The guitars continuously duel for dominance, and their harmonious sound will instantly grab your attention. There’s also a subtle layer of string instruments lurking around, giving a more ambient feel. Of course, “I Wish I Could Fly” wouldn’t sound this good without equally complex, vividly hearable, warm-sounding basslines that provide more than necessary heaviness, depth, and clarity. It’s also good to mention that the experienced drummer offers groove and pace, but also keeps the remainder of the instrumentations in line with moderate, well-accentuated beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics.

Every member of “La Need Machine” plays a significant role in this sonic equation, and this track wouldn’t sound this good without them. They also thoroughly thought about even the tiniest details while assembling the song structure, so you’ll notice how every part carries sincere, confident, powerful vocal performance, catchy themes, melodies, harmonies, and precise rhythmic sequences. La Need Machine sounds top-notch from scratch to finish, offering their best performance. You should put “I Wish I Could Fly” on your radar because this song offers a refreshing and unique take on indie music that will immediately grab your attention. This song will become your go-to track whenever you need flawlessly executed, ear-appealing, catchy music. The single is available on all streaming platforms.
