Luke Tangerine – I Adore You (feat. Carlos Ucedda)

I Adore You” is the latest single by Luke Tangerine, a Frankfurt-based artist, songwriter, and composer. He teamed with renowned Spanish singer Carlos Ucedda to deliver another magnificent sonic experience. If you paid close attention to our pages before, you probably read my reviews about “Exoplanet” and “Midlife Crisis. Again,” two marvelous songs Luke Tangerine unleashed earlier this year. “I Adore You” serves as a perfect follow-up to these tracks, but also indicates many innovations in songwriting, composing, recording, and producing. The way this profoundly creative artist combines elements of synthwave, synthpop, electronic music, experimental electronic, leftfield, chillwave, and cinematic ambient goes beyond comprehension so many times throughout the entire song. His experience, knowledge, skills, ideas, and musicianship shine from beginning to end, offering a tremendous listening experience to the listeners.

Carlos Uccedda complements Luke Tangerine’s ideas with his vocal range, perfectly balancing low, mid, and high notes and emphasizing all the orchestrations. His vocal performance perfectly suits every segment, offering adequate guidance to listeners. Of course, Luke Tangerine fully stacked “I Adore You” with impressive orchestrations. His profound knowledge of the synthwave genre and electronic music truly shines here, as he dives into the late seventies, eighties, and nineties eras, which were all significant for these genres. It’s nearly mindblowing how he assembled all these perfect arpeggiated sequences, chord progressions, harmonies, melodies, themes, and leads. There’s a thick layer of synth ambiance lurking around, while the warm-sounding basslines offer more than necessary heaviness, depth, and clarity. Luke Tangerine also thought about the rhythm section, so you’ll be blown away by the amount of detail he put into beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics.

All these instrumentations support Carlos Uccedda, who did an incredible job on his part. His voice melts into the core of the song by not only emphasizing everything Luke Tangerine incorporated musically but also providing more complexity to it. “I Adore You” sounds dynamic, energetic, and powerful, but it’s also simultaneously a calm, soothing, relaxing, ethereal number that offers nothing but a mesmerizing and one-of-a-kind listening experience. Both artists put all their experience, knowledge, skills, creativity, talent, and ideas into it, and their time and effort resulted in a perfect synthwave track worth spinning over and over again. You should put “I Adore You” on your radar as soon as possible because it will become your go-to track whenever you need perfect synth or electronic music. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
