Onism E – I’m Sorry

Onism E are back with another fine piece of sonic artistry. “I’m Sorry” is their latest single that serves as an adequate follow-up to “It’s Not Over,” their critically acclaimed song released last year. For those who somehow missed our previous writings about this exceptional band, Onism E combine the fundamentals of modern alternative rock with the finest properties borrowed from other complementary music genres like indie rock, hard rock, classic rock, and rock ‘n’ roll. Still, don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some other styles along the way because these experienced musicians like to experiment a lot. These additional elements serve as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details that uplift “I’m Sorry” on an entirely new level, while the band remains loyal to the modern alternative rock sound. These experimentations resulted in a mesmerizing composition that will appeal to anyone even remotely into rock music, but also will suit those newbies to the aforementioned genres.

As soon as you press play, you’ll notice that Eline Chavez’s powerful, confident, sincere, outstanding vocal performance is the centerpiece. Her exceptional vocal harmonies balance between low, mid, and high notes with such ease, emphasizing everything the remainder of the band tried to achieve with this magnificent song. She gives more power to every segment, and you’ll hear raw emotion in her voice. The keyboard leads play a significant role in shaping such a psychedelic ambiance that continuously levitates between modern and retro rock music. The flawlessly executed, skillfully assembled, warm-sounding basslines offer more than necessary support to these keyboard leads, but also serve as a binding element between guitars and drums. You’ll hear how the jaw-dropping drumming performance keeps all instrumentations in line with thoroughly planned beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive maneuvers. The guitars have their role here too, as they accentuate particular segments with some reverby chord progressions, riffs, solos, and other virtuosities. “I’m Sorry” becomes even more detailed in those moments when Onism E gradually dive deep into progressive sonic and rhythmic maneuvers, giving subtle prog-rock and psych-rock vibes to an already complex track.

Onism E prove once again why they’re one of the best modern alternative rock bands nowadays. Their ability to revitalize the genre with impressive instrumentations and brilliant ideas goes beyond comprehension so many times throughout the entire track. “I’m Sorry” offers everything you ever needed from the alt-rock number, plus a touch of more than necessary nostalgia that will convince even the pickiest listeners to revisit their back catalog. It’s an exceptional song you should check out as soon as possible. “I’m Sorry” is available on all streaming services.
