Lost In Translation – Indifferent

Chicago-based trio Lost In Translation released a debut single about a month ago. Indifferent is unquestionably an exciting blend of several complementary music genres that perfectly fit together in this sonic equation. Lost In Translation paid a lot of attention while writing, composing, and recording this song, so you’ll feel like you’re experiencing an entirely new genre of music. Soundwise, the band explores the fundamentals of post-hardcore, where some of the vital elements of this longevous genre clash with the qualities of post-punk, emo, indie, shoegaze, or alternative music. It might sound to some readers like too many styles are involved in a singular composition, but these folks know what they’re doing. The way they implemented some of the finest properties of each music genre they dearly love into a colossal piece of sonic artistry is nearly mindblowing and undoubtedly deserves your utmost attention.

Indifferent simultaneously carries equal dosages of power, aggression, heaviness, and dynamics, but it also brings mellowness, melodies, and harmonies to the table. Everyone into writing and composing music knows that is a difficult task to obtain, and Lost In Translation achieved that with their debut single. That says a lot about their songwriting abilities. The band keeps this song interesting from scratch to finish by implementing profoundly detailed energetic rhythmic sequences, equally complex basslines, reverby chord progressions, and riffs. The thick layers of reverb give that recognizable shoegaze, post-punk, or post-rock ambiance, which perfectly matches all the vocal harmonies. Lost In Translation thoroughly planned each sonic maneuver, and ultimately nailed their intentions. Indifferent is available on all streaming platforms.
