Delaire The Liar Drop Video For “bite trap.”

Delaire The Liar have returned in stunning form with their new single “Bite Trap”, which is their first new music since releasing the Eat Your Own EP in December 2021. Produced by Kel Pinchin (Modern Error), “Bite Trap” is an acerbic wonderland that explores the measures people will resort to in order to protect their loved ones, and is brought to life through monochrome visuals by filmmaker Harry Steel (haunted mattress).

Speaking about “Bite Trap”, Delaire The Liar said “We explored a style of writing with ‘bite trap.’ that was a little out of the ordinary for us. Whilst staying true to our tastes, we relied on our gut & immediate feeling to guide the makeup of the song and didn’t allow ourselves the space to over-think and over-complicate the process. If it sucked, it went; if it fucked, it stayed.”

“The song itself is written conceptually rather than drawing on personal & emotional experience. The narrative explores how people defend themselves and the ones they care about, and how those responses can be misjudged, irrational and charged even with the best intentions at heart.”

Rude Records Presents: The Getaway tour
Wednesday 26th April – London, Boston Music Room
Thursday 27th April – Manchester, Satans Hollow
Friday 28th April – Glasgow, The Garage Attic

Hailed by Kerrang! as “Truly excellent” and “Reminiscent of Marmozets, and even At The Drive-In” by DIY, Delaire The Liar are known for their punk rock dexterity and imitable live performances. The London-based three-piece ended December 2021 by releasing their powerful EP Eat Your Own to praise from BBC Radio 1, Upset, Kerrang!, When The Horn Blows and more across the UK music press. Standouts at last year’s 2000 Trees festival, Delaire The Liar appeared as a live act at the Heavy Music Awards in 2022, headlined their own show at Face Down in London, and picked up impressive tour support slots with As Everything Unfolds, Creeper and Vukovi to name a few.

Utilising a weaponized punk rock attitude that feeds into a visceral delivery and live performance, married with a fragility and earnestness that extends a welcoming hand to the listener, Delaire The Liar are set to explore the nuances of human emotion and response. Unafraid to be vulnerable, unafraid to be hysterical and open to all.
