London-based alternative rock quartet The Kid And I has released a new composition today. Fade Away is the fifth number in the row from a series of singles launched in 2020 and the first song the band put out this year. This particular composition represents a new direction for the band that incorporates heavier influences for the first time. Besides an already paved sonic path built upon only the best properties of alternative rock, The Kid And I delve even deeper into the foundations of grunge, punk rock, indie rock, and power pop, but with a slightly darker and heavier twist.
Fade Away showcases the newly improved sound of the band that proved multiple times they’re no strangers to any music genre. The Kid And I incorporate heavy, abrasive, raw riffs, ear-appealing chord progressions, melodies, harmonies, warm-sounding low-end tones, and energetic drumming performance without losing consistency, balance, and already established sound. Fade Away carries a darker, gothy, melancholic ambiance that perfectly fits the heaviness of their improved sound, so The Kid And I entirely succeeded in their aims. You will solely enjoy this composition if you love contemporary alternative, grunge, and indie rock music. Fade Away is available for listening to on all streaming platforms.
