Today, I would like to talk about the release that came out on all streaming platforms yesterday. It’s a brand new full-length material by Dizmation, a Dublin, Ireland based musician and visual artist who invested some bright ideas on his most advanced release. Dizmation previously released a single called Still, so Sea Area Forecast represents his debut full-length material. However, this experienced artist doesn’t indicate this is his introduction material. Quite the contrary, Sea Area Forecast sounds and appears like Dizmation already possesses a luxurious discography under his belt. This is not another simplistic independently produced material by any means, but a fully representational amalgam constituted of thoughtfully arranged numbers.

Sea Area Forecast embraces a full specter of complementary music genres into a polyphonous harmony. Besides a sheer dominance of calmy indie rock, you may hear how electro-pop, electronica, shoegaze, alternative, art-rock, post-rock, and post-punk affected Dizmation’s songwriting and composing abilities. Nevertheless, these ear-appealing ingredients are completely combined into compelling orchestrations, fully stacked with reverby, echoic, vibrant melancholic tones. It’s nearly mindblowing how the complete material resonates with calmy, but energetic melodies that are capable to cheer you up and bring you down almost instantly. Sea Area Forecast showcases all the possible emotions involved throughout the entire album, but still, it resonates in such a distinctive manner.

You’ll notice how Dizmation levitates from subtle melancholic electro-pop compositions towards more colossal sounding indie-rock oriented numbers with such ease. The artist never remains entirely devoted to one genre, so you’ll be quite surprised how each composition delivers even more delightful moments. There are some similarities with Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Beatles, Slowdive, Portishead, or perhaps Massive Attack, but Dizmation keeps his musical presence unique as much as possible. His output is completely specific, distinctive, and refreshing. There’s something about echoic harmonizations, melancholic atmosphere, pleasant chord progressions, and firm electronic beats that keeps Sea Area Forecast fresh even after repetitious listening. Sea Area Forecast is available at streaming services such as Spotify, Bandcamp, and YouTube. I highly advise you to check this outstanding debut album, mainly because of the detailed compositions included within.
