Prize Horse Share New Single “The Big Picture”

Minneapolis trio Prize Horse blends grunge, shoegaze, alt rock, emo and more to create a sounds that defies categorization. The band released their first in a series of singles in 2021, followed by their Welder EP in 2022, and their first full-length Under Sound in 2024.

That same year, Prize Horse performed at Sound & Fury Festival and went on to share stages with bands like Superheaven, Glitterer, Greet Death, Chat Pile and more.  Now, Prize Horse join Closed Casket Activities for their next LP and share a new single: “The Big Picture.”

The band comments: “‘The Big Picture’ is the first song we wrote for the new record, with demos of it dating back to 2023. Instrumentally, it’s a step into a darker, more brooding environment compared to Under Sound, and ends with one of the heaviest sections we’ve ever written. The song naturally brought forth some honest lyrics about days where nothing feels right from the start and choices feel crushing. Overall, we think its a fitting first glimpse at our new LP.”

More news to come soon from Prize Horse and Closed Casket Activities.  In the meantime, see the band on tour this October in the US and in the UK/EU in December.
