Hailing from Norrköping, Swedish melodic skate punk outfit Mistakes Were Made have released their new three-track EP, Corporate Punks. Drawing heavy inspiration from 90s Swedish skate punk and 00s alternative rock—including bands like Millencolin, NOFX, and Rise Against—the release combines fast-driven guitars, big vocal harmonies, and infectious melodies.
Lyrically, Corporate Punks tackles modern anxiety, hangovers, and crumbling relationships. Opening track “Counting Hours” examines post-night-out dread, while “Duct Tape & Wishes” details a relationship trapped in a cycle of fighting and mending. The EP closes with “W.U.F.,” a track addressing conflicting views on an increasingly unstable future.
