Self-produced and featuring seven tracks, “I’m A Decadent” marks a significant evolution in the artist’s musical journey. While retaining the distinctive songwriting style and artistic identity that characterized previous releases, the new album moves away from the alternative rock sound of the past and embraces a more organic and intimate approach rooted in folk and acoustic rock.
The songs on “I’m A Decadent” explore themes of loneliness, abandonment, and personal reflection, unfolding as streams of thought which flow through the artist’s mind and take shape through a strongly metaphorical language and symbolic imagery.
At the heart of the album there’s also the experience of living far from major urban centers, where rural folklore intertwines with the perception of paths already written.
Through acoustic arrangements, evocative melodies, and introspective lyrics, The Kyle December creates a collection of songs that examines the fragility of the human self while leaving room for resilience, awareness, and hope.
“I’m A Decadent” is in fact an awareness of melancholy, isolation and a sense of disenchantment that are recognized as part of one’s identity.
With this new release, The Kyle December reaffirms a commitment to artistic independence and authenticity, placing the strength of the songs and emotional honesty above stylistic conventions.
