Kicking off with brand new track “Modern War” Barking Poets waste no time drawing you into their dystopian, uneasy, fragile world soundtracked by a Motown meets The Beatles meets The Ramones power-pop punk gem.
Strap in for the ride! Everyone’s favourite poets beavering away behind the walls of Unit 13 studios in south London, recording their latest EP with acclaimed U.K. rock/indie producer Paul Tipler (Idlewild, Placebo, Reuben). “The Red E.P” kicks off with a bang with brand new track
“This is the Modern War” and takes the listener on the most magical alternative punk journey. The bite of “The Mess I Made”, the jubilant “Arizona”, the earworm forever young “Change Our Ways” the brooding “Pure Blood” then ending adrift in peaceful outer space with “Losing contact”.
“Is what Huxley said come true, are we living in the news? “The Red E.P” is set for worldwide release via Engineer Records on Friday 5th June 2026, available on all major streaming platforms. Pre-save link HERE
