Arn-Identified Flying Objects And Alien Friends – Bells Of Silver

Sometimes, we all need some calm, soothing, relaxing, ethereal music in our lives, those particular songs where almost anthemic vocal harmonies meet lush chord progressions delivered on acoustic guitars, creating an almost heavenly atmosphere. And while many artists, bands, and other music outlets are delivering this type of music almost daily on streaming platforms, only a few manage to strike a chord that resonates with the listeners so profoundly. It seems many of them miss something that could elevate their music to new heights. Whether they lack creativity, talent, ideas, or better musicianship, their music always sounds good, but it misses something that resonates with the crowd. Thankfully, Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends fall into a category of those music outlets where every new release is awaited with a big anticipation due to Arne Floryd’s tremendous songwriting and composing abilities. With each new song, he assures his fan base that they signed for another epic voyage through the expansive sonic universe. That’s the case with “Bells of Silver,” his latest piece of sonic artistry, released today via all streaming platforms. Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends continues his streak of delivering deep, soulful, harmonious compositions where each vocal maneuver, strum of the chord, warm-sounding bassline, and tastefully assembled rhyhtmic pattern has its place and purpose. Sonically, perhaps this composition dominates with a folk rock sound, as Arne Floryd incorporated all the fundamental elements of the genre, but do not be surprised if you stumble upon some other complementary genres along the way. He infused those anthemic power pop sing-alongs, indie pop softness, jangly indie rock gutiars, and there’s also a psych pop vibe lurking all around during each segment. His dedication to the craft is visibly shown through his tremendous songwriting, clever composing, and honest performance, rarely heard or seen on the music scene nowadays.

What makes this song so addictive, hypnotic, and irresistible is the vocal arrangements. First of all, we have Arne Floryd’s recognizable, enchanting, soulful, passionate, sincere, confident, and powerful vocal performance that definitely elevates everything to new heights, commands attention, and guides you on an epic journey through the expansive sonic universe. He employs those calm and soothing vocal harmonies to create an ethereal layer that perfectly serves as an additional melody above all the orchestrations. You’ll also notice all those additional vocal layers, back vocals, and sing-alongs, making this folk rock song lean into power pop waters so many times. The interplay between acoustic and electric guitar plays a significant role here, as it shapes a lush backdrop for all the vocals to shine upon. You’ll hear how all those marvelous chord progressions delivered on the acoustic guitar resonate on one side, while the other deliver jangly, angular melodies, harmonies, and other sonic maneuvers, subtly drenched in reverb and chorus effect. The additional synth chord progressions and pads add more depth and complexity to the instrumentation without ever overwhelming the guitars. The bass guitar is barely notable in the mix, but it gives more than enough warmth, depth, and heaviness to the track. The main focus remains on the lush guitar works, the most dominant instrumentation in this song, and Arne Floryd cleverly left it like this because it makes folk rock elements more notable in the mix. Of course, there’s also a drumming performance that dictates groove and pace, keeps everything in line, and accentuates each instrument through moderate beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics. Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends left no stone unturned while writing, composing, arranging, and producing Bells of Silver,” making it one of the finest modern folk rock songs you’ll encounter this year.

Once again, Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends proves that he’s one of the greatest singer-songwriters of our time. Through thoughtfully assembled segments, perfect arrangements, brilliant ideas, and outstanding musicianship, he delivered a fascinating folk song that immediately wraps around your listening apparatus and refuses to let go long after the last notes and beats fade away. It’s a folk rock masterpiece you surely do not want to miss.
