Haast Hunter Release Cinematic New Single “Plastique”

Hailing from Hamilton, New Zealand, the hard-hitting rock outfit Haast Hunter has returned with their latest single, “Plastique.” Released in February 2026, the track further defines the band’s reputation for blending hard rock and metalcore with atmospheric, low-tuned guitar work. Following their 2025 standout single “Then Why,” “Plastique” represents a darker, more experimental shift in the band’s discography.

The release is bolstered by a surreal, high-contrast music video that debuted on February 23. Featuring distorted imagery and a cinematic aesthetic, the visual component perfectly mirrors the track’s heavy, immersive sound. Haast Hunter continues to prove they are one of New Zealand’s most exciting heavy exports, delivering a “Plastique” experience that is as visually arresting as it is sonically massive. Stream the single and watch the official video now on all major outlets.
