Instrumental collective End of Seven has officially released “Collateral,” a track from their upcoming debut concept album, Triptych. This ambitious project is a three-part narrative arc, Desolation, Delusion, and Determination, mapping humanity’s confrontation with environmental and societal collapse. The four-piece band, featuring members from Split, Čakovec, and Dubrovnik, blends progressive metal, fusion, and eclectic artistry influenced by legends like Zappa, Porcupine Tree, and Tigran Hamasyan.
The album moves from the ethereal textures of “Nordlys” to the fractured, generational grooves of “Second Hand,” eventually culminating in the 29-stage evolution of the closing track, “29 Reasons.” Triptych is far more than a collection of songs. It is a challenging, genre-defying journey that uses shifting time signatures and emotional depth to ask what lies beyond the end. It is a stunning debut that rewards deep, attentive listening and cements End of Seven as a vital new voice in the instrumental scene.
