Ocean Planet, formed in 2008 in Reading, has released the single ‘Devastate,’ a cerebral and visceral sonic experience. Drawing influence from Meshuggah, Tesseract, and Gojira, the band carves a unique path by blending atmospheric textures, precise rhythmic complexity, and relentless energy. Their music is both forward-thinking and timeless, utilizing layered harmonies and ambient soundscapes to create conceptual songwriting that appeals to fans of progressive metal. The single ‘Devastate’ showcases the band’s signature mix of melody and controlled chaos, confirming their place in the modern heavy music landscape.
