Los Angeles-based artist Jeff Kleinman, known from Choir Boy, introduces his raw indie punk project Begging Dog with DEMO 1, now reissued on vinyl by Dais Records. Recorded entirely solo, the release blends garage punk grit with synth-laced, bass-driven melodies, proving Kleinman’s knack for heartfelt minimalism. His storytelling hits hard, honest, unpretentious, and drenched in suburban melancholy. “No one loves a begging dog,” he laments, yet the record embraces solitude as something strangely beautiful. For fans of authentic, homespun punk, DEMO 1 is a lo-fi gem that turns quiet desperation into melodic defiance.
