Attawalpa (Luis Felber) has released the Always the Girls (Unplugged) EP, recorded with Freya Hicks and producer Shuta Shinoda (Spiritualized, Hot Chip). Inspired by their stripped-down UK tour supporting Liz Lawrence, the EP captures raw live energy with minimal overdubs.
The original track, featured on Felber’s acclaimed album Experience, also appeared in Netflix’s Too Much, co-created with Lena Dunham. Backed by a seven-piece ensemble including Matt Allchin and veteran percussionist Maurizio Ravalico, Attawalpa blends baroque pop, groove-driven rock, and cinematic textures. Released via Daydream Library Series, the EP highlights a vivid, communal spirit while showcasing Felber’s evolving artistry.
