Transatlantic duo The Astronauts, featuring Benjamin Fox and Gordon Cooper, have unveiled their new single “Ease Up” through Flip Flop Records. The track is a mellow, guitar-driven rocker that blends the textures of modern indie/alt rock with echoes of the Velvet Underground’s timeless influence. Melodic and mellifluous, “Ease Up” sets the stage for more new music from the band in the months ahead. In addition to The Astronauts, Fox and Cooper record as Irish Lights, an ambient project inspired by Ireland’s lighthouses, and run Sleeping in Space LLC, a Detroit-based label dedicated to forward-thinking independent music.
