Los Angeles melodic punk band For Closure return September 12 with Take Two, a three-song EP released via Mindpower Records. Following their 2024 debut Cliffside Serenades, the new project condenses the band’s energy into two originals and a cover of Doughboys’ 1989 classic “In My Head.”
Produced by longtime collaborator Michael Rozon (Ministry, Jerry Cantrell, Melvins), the EP showcases For Closure’s blend of sharp songwriting and reverence for their influences. Take Two also arrives after a busy year on the road, including their first West Coast tour in spring 2025.
The decision to include a Doughboys track highlights For Closure’s connection to punk’s past while pushing their own sound forward. Compact yet deliberate, Take Two positions the band as a rising voice in melodic punk, balancing nostalgia with modern haste.
For Closure’s reputation has been built on high-energy shows and a relentless DIY drive. With Take Two, they continue refining their identity, offering a concise but memorable glimpse of what’s next.
