Queen Anne Reimagined David Bowie’s Classic “Let’s Dance”

American indie pop duo Queen Anne have returned with their second single — a shimmering, darkly enchanting cover of David Bowie’s timeless “Let’s Dance,” released via Share It Music. The pair, made up of vocalist-songwriter Katie Silverman and writer-producer Sandy Chila, reimagine Bowie’s classic through a lens of moody elegance, ethereal textures, and an undercurrent of 80s pop-punk urgency.

For Silverman, this isn’t just a song, it’s a lifelong connection. “When I was younger, Bowie was a huge influence, not just his music, but his persona, visuals, the whole vibe,” she explains. “I picked Let’s Dance because there’s something so fervent, so this-is-our-last-chance about it… and because I already owned a pair of red shoes.” Sandy agrees with a smile: “Let’s Dance!”

With their knack for turning everyday frustrations into cinematic soundscapes, Queen Anne are fast becoming a name to watch. Silverman, already known for her acting work in New Girl, Pen15, and The Exorcists, is now stepping boldly into music, and this cover is proof she belongs here. The duo will follow this single with the original track Lexi Loves Me in mid-September.

Queen Anne’s “Let’s Dance” is more than a tribute, it’s an indie pop spark that glows with Bowie’s fire yet burns in its own, unmistakable light.
