Lot Lizards Released New Single “Broken Parts”

Rising melodic punk band Lot Lizards is back with “Broken Parts”, an emotional, high-energy single set for release on June 6th. This marks the first track off their upcoming full-length debut, The Horrors of Adulting, arriving July 25th on Punkerton Records.

“Broken Parts is the punk anthem for anyone coming to terms with the slow breakdown of the people we love,” says frontman Jon Barnes“It’s about my father, who is struggling with Parkinson’s disease. It’s heavy and deeply personal, but there’s also catharsis in facing that reality head-on.”

Blending melodic hooks with driving rhythms and raw, honest lyricism, “Broken Parts” offers listeners a powerful preview of the themes explored in The Horrors of Adulting. The record dives into the chaos and disillusionment of growing up—with songs tackling self-destruction (“Surprise Party”), existential dread (“Good Intentions”), and the longing to escape (“Great Escapes”).

Lot Lizards, formed in 2021 in the wake of the pandemic, has been making waves with their infectious sound rooted in 90s and early 2000s punk rock. Drawing influence from Face to FacePropagandhi, and No Use for a Name, the St. Petersburg trio—Barnes (vocals/guitar), Alex Trellu (bass/vocals), and Mikey Henk (drums)—combine tight musicianship with no-frills intensity.

“The Horrors of Adulting” is available now for pre-order through Punkerton Records on limited-edition color vinyl. The 12″, 140-gram release is set to be a standout for collectors and fans alike.

Lot Lizards is a high-energy melodic punk rock band from St. Petersburg, Florida, delivering fast, hook-driven songs that channel the spirit of classic 90s and 2000s punk. Formed in 2021 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the band found its voice by leaning into raw emotion, tight musicianship, and a love for the kind of punk that sticks with you.

Taking influence from bands like Face to Face, Bigwig, Propagandhi, No Use for a Name, and Lagwagon, Lot Lizards creates punk rock that is catchy, aggressive, and built for the stage. Their songs are meant to be played live, turned up loud, and shouted back by the crowd. The band consists of Jon Barnes (vocals/guitar), Alex Trellu (bass/vocals), and Mikey Henk (drums).

Together, they bring a no-nonsense, full-throttle approach that’s earned them a growing reputation for powerful shows and honest songwriting.
