Rising indie artist Ruiz! returns with “Always Dreaming,” a shimmering dream pop single set for released on May 23. The track blends lush synths and layered textures with storytelling lyricism to explore the quiet strength found in vulnerability and the complexities of mental health.
Written as a tribute to a loved one navigating a dark emotional chapter, the song offers both a personal reckoning and a universal call for presence and compassion. “It’s about wishing you could’ve done more, and learning to show up even when you’re struggling,” Ruiz! said of the track.
With sonic echoes of Beach House and M83, Ruiz! fuses indie intimacy with electronic grandeur, crafting a sound that is both introspective and expansive. “Always Dreaming” further cements Ruiz!’s place in the synthpop revival and will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
