With the release of Ethereal Enclave, indie rock outfit Rare Seed crafts a sonically rich, genre-blurring statement that pulses with jazz undercurrents and existential resolve. The debut single, “Clarion Call,” encapsulates the album’s tone, an urgent appeal to create despite chaos.
“Clarion Call is about striving,” says frontman Lex Condes. “So many icons are gone, but their mortality shows us it’s possible to make something lasting.”
Anchored by Condes’ post-punk sensibility and lyrical depth, Rare Seed draws inspiration from My Bloody Valentine, Thee Oh Sees, and Koji Kondo. Guitarists Ben Parker and Connor Herring infuse fluid psychedelia and funk, while Andrew Wise’s classically trained keys elevate the band’s harmonic scope.
The result is a textured, melody-driven journey through anxiety, hope, and inner clarity. Ethereal Enclave is a rare debut, lush, daring, and steeped in a spirit of artistic openness.
