TeethOut is a skate-punk band from Charlottetown, PEI, formed in 2024. Made up of very middle-aged men trying to do things like they were 30 again, the band includes Josh Lavigne on vocals, Ira Banks and Brandon Doyle on guitars, Pete MacDonald on bass, and Jason Ezeard on drums. Inspired by the 90s punk sound, they bring an energetic style and catchy melodies that are sure to grab attention.
Following a lineup change right before we released Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is in January, we wasted no time writing with our two new members, diving straight into fresh material. Flicker Out is the first look at this new chapter. As always, we used Shawn Taggart at Hog Audio to produce & mix the track. And there’s more on the way—our new four-song EP, Brittle but Elite, is set to drop in early April, delivering another dose of high-energy, no-nonsense skate punk.
Ozone – “Flicker Out was born from frustration—the kind that comes from watching the same fights play out over and over with no real winners. We wanted the song to feel urgent and raw, with lyrics that capture the exhaustion of endless conflict and the need to step away. I think Josh captured that well with his lyrics. Musically, we feel that it hits fast and hard, balancing melody with aggression, and of course, staying true to our “old-man” approach to skate-punk.”
