Fendahlene – Silent Treatment

Silent Treatment” is the latest release by Fendahlene, an outstanding English band based in London. It’s their fifth piece of work this year, arriving as an adequate follow-up of “Angel At Your Feet,” “Falling Fast Again,” “Where I’m Going,” and “Anyone Who’s Anyone,” four excellent compositions released earlier this year you should immediately check out. Soundwise, Fendahleen combines several complementary music genres to illustrate their luxuriant sonic imagery. Perhaps alternative rock comes to mind, but you’ll unquestionably notice how some of the finest properties borrowed from indie rock, garage rock, classic rock, and even some classic punk rock found their way into this sonic equation. These experimentations with many similar styles resulted in a catchy, memorable, engaging composition that continuously levitates nostalgia between the late eighties/early nineties and modern sound. They use all these additional elements as more than necessary enhancements and decorations to elevate their latest single to an entirely new level while remaining loyal to the primary sonic direction. Therefore, “Silent Treatment” will undoubtedly appeal to not only those long-standing alternative rock fans but anyone who appreciates cleverly assembled and flawlessly performed music.

From the onset, you’ll realize that these folks are not joking around with their sound. This composition arrives with a perfect structure, adorned with many detailed segments, brilliant ideas, and marvelous orchestrations. Each vocal, sonic, and rhythmic arrangement has its place and purpose in this sonic equation, making “Silent Treatment” so hypnotic, addictive, and irresistible piece worth spinning over and over again. Besides all these qualities, the band also paid attention to sound quality, so the song carries some of the latest trends in modern music production, allowing each element to shine in the limelight equally. The guitars reign supreme in this sonic equation. You’ll notice how the interplay between rhythm and lead guitars shapes a perfect backdrop for all the vocals to shine upon. The tastefully assembled, flawlessly performed chord, generously distorted chord progressions and riffs resonate on one side while the other delivers catchy, memorable, engaging themes, melodies, harmonies, and other sonic delicacies. The subtle addition of studio reverb creates separation and adds more space between these guitar layers, creating a colossal ambiance that immediately wraps around your listening apparatus and refuses to let go long after this song ends. The vocal arrangements are on an entirely new level. You’ll hear how passionate, sincere, confident, emotive, and powerful vocal harmonies command attention and guide the listening apparatus while the back vocals and singalongs spice things up and elevate particular moments to new heights. These vocal harmonies emphasize each segment and instrumentation with such precision and finesse, making “Silent Treatment” more catchy and memorable.

Fendahlene also thought about the rhythm section. You’ll notice how equally intricate, audible, warm-sounding bass lines rumble beneath all those guitar layers, providing more heftiness, clearness, and deepness to the song while binding guitars with the rhythmic patterns. These low-ends are rich, dense, and heavy, contributing more power to an overall ambiance. In the meantime, the experienced drummer keeps the remainder of the band in line while dictating groove and pace with expertly arranged, marvelously performed, well-accentuated, groovy beats, breaks, and other percussive acrobatics. Fendahlene thought about even the tiniest details and nuances while writing, composing, arranging, and producing their latest single, so if the guitars act as a backdrop for all the vocals to shine upon, then the bass and drums serve as a backbone, holding everything together. “Silent Treatment” is an exceptional song, written and performed by one the finest bands on the contemporary music scene. Fendahlene poured heart and soul into this piece, vividly showcasing their tremendous experience, knowledge, skills, and talent. Each vocal, sonic, and rhythmic maneuver is calculated and implemented to perfection, so you’ll have a pleasant listening experience. It’s a soulful, catchy, ear-appealing, meaningful alternative rock song that will immediately resonate with a broader auditorium. You should immediately place it on your music radar because these highly skilled musicians demand your utmost attention. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
