Portuguese outfit Them Flying Monkeys have released a fresh version of Jacques Dutronc’s iconic track, “Les Gens Sont Fous, Les Temps Sont Flous” as the fourth preview of the band’s upcoming third album titled Best Behavior. The song captures the chaos and disorder of the album, while still feeling the essence of the song in Dutronc’s lyrics. A bold tribute to his work.
Xico, Diogo, Luís, Zio and Hugo are Them Flying Monkeys. Hailing from Portugal, They have established their own niche in the underground Portuguese musical circuit with precision melodic rock who’s atmospheric undertones are seasoned by a degree of experimentation. The band has gained notoriety for their passionate and visually arresting live shows, cultivating an evolving sound that spans genres while remaining true to their artistic roots.
After releasing two albums (Golden Cap in 2017 and Under the Weather in 2020), Them Flying Monkeys are now preparing to release Best Behavior, their long-awaited third LP. In a co-release with Only Lovers Records and gig.ROCKS! (Portugal), Best Behavior is set to be an ambitious merging of what has been their hard-hitting rock sound with a newer electronic direction. It will be released on January 24th, 2025 on CD, LP and Digitally.
