Soviet Jesus Choir is a trans femme-fronted Alternative Post-Folk band currently based out of Los Angeles, CA whose sound is caught within the threshold of chaos and harmony. With their second full length record soon approaching, the band can be found actively performing and promoting the album’s advance singles in the Southern California region.
Soviet Jesus Choir is immediately set aside from its colleagues by the raw emotion of primary songwriter and vocalist Layla Cima, who in turn is equalled by the melodious guitar work from Nick Hodges and the lyrically pulsating drums of Sam Kempner. With careful attention paid to both recording arrangements and live presentations, the band earns highly emotive reactions from their audience that cater to complexities of the human condition.
