Lebanon Hanover Conjure A Gothic Halloween With “Abracadabra”

Acclaimed Anglo-Swiss post punkers Lebanon Hanover’s new single “Abracadabra” is released today, ahead of the much-anticipated Gothic Halloween compilation.

Packed with the ghouls, ghosts and goblins of gothic rock past, present and future, this very special 2 CD and vinyl Halloween-themed compilation includes exclusive tracks by Buzz Kull, R. Missing, Bauhaus’s David J and others, PLUS classic tracks by Ministry, Christian Death, The Damned, Corpus Delicti, The 69 Eyes, Powerman 5000 and more!

Unavailable any place else, Lebanon Hanover’s freshly incarnated invocation of the Steve Miller Band classic captures the duo at their most pulsatingly spectral.  Or, as they put it, “Let yourself be spooked out this Halloween by this bewitching and haunted cover.”

A fitting introduction indeed for an album that also includes such seasonal classics as “Everyday Is Halloween,” “Skeleton Kiss,” “Superstition,” “Children of the Grave,” Skold’s punishing take on Depeche Mode’s “Blasphemous Rumours” and Mike Oldfield’s theme from The Exorcist, chillingly reimagined by Derek Sherinian!

The CD will be unchained on September 6 – but, if you can hold out for another week, Friday 13 (of course!) will see the pit open even wider, to disgorge two gore-geous vinyl albums, Gothic Halloween and Scarier Gothic Halloween,

Trick? No, definitely a treat.
