New Haven, CT indie-punk mainstays Dagwood have announced a new EP, Pollyanna Visions, due September 3rd (pre-order). Dagwood, whose membership draws from various CT hardcore and punk alumni including Hostage Calm and Heavy Breath, worked with Justin Pizzoferrato (Dinosaur Jr., Wild Pink, Dazy, Parquet Courts) at Sonelab Studios in Easthampton, MA who engineered and mixed the EP. The release features the recent college-rock inflected singles “Trying To Be Kind” and “Should Be” as well as the just-released “Candy Apple Green.” Clocking in at a minute and a half, “Candy Apple Green” builds on the power-pop-precise songwriting of last year’s Everything Turned Out Alright EP. Check out the new single below.
