Anthony Casuccio – Into The Light

East Amherst, New York-based indie alternative rock artist Anthony Casuccio has recently released a new song. “Into The Light” is his first single in 2024 and a perfect follow-up to “Systematic,” an EP released last year. Still, you’ll notice how “Into The Light” carries many innovations in songwriting, composing, arranging, recording, and producing. The artist has perfected his initial style by implementing many profoundly detailed instrumentations and brilliant ideas, offering a tremendous listening experience. Soundwise, Anthony Casuccio combines the fundamentals of alternative rock sound with some of the finest properties borrowed from different but complementary music genres. You’ll notice how all the vital sonic ingredients taken from indie rock, art-rock, and pop-rock lurk around, but the artist also took a step further and implemented some industrial and EDM elements. These additional sonic ingredients serve as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details that uplift this track on an entirely new level, while the artist remains loyal to the primary sonic direction. Therefore, “Into The Light” will appeal even to the pickiest listeners.

As soon as you press play, you’ll notice how Anthony Casuccio skillfully levitates between modern and retro sound. Contemporary alternative rock represents the core of this number, while you may also stumble upon some instrumentations that may evoke nostalgia. These additional retro components make “Into The Light” even more complex. Of course, Anthony Casuccio’s outstanding vocal performance is the centerpiece, emphasizing all the segments and instrumentations, while the perfect balance between low, mid, and high notes gives more complexity. The guitars play a significant role in shaping a rich and luxurious ambiance, but they also support Casuccio’s vocal maneuvers. You’ll hear how the intricate, heavily distorted riffs, melodies, themes, and leads pervade from all the possible sides, making “Into The Light” such an ear-appealing number worth spinning over and over again. The clever combination of analog and synth basslines provides more than necessary heaviness, clarity, and depth, but also serves as a binding element between guitars and drums. Anthony Casuccio also incorporated many magnificent synth leads, melodies, harmonies, sequences, and ambiances. These additional instrumentations come like a cherry on top, offering more intricacies to an already luxurious orchestrations. Of course, this song wouldn’t sound this good without energetic drumming, based upon flawlessly programmed, well-accentuated electronic beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobations. They’re solely responsible for the mentioned industrial and EDM touch that makes this song even more unique.

“Into The Light” breaks all the rules and pushes the boundaries of many music genres. Anthony Casuccio thought about everything while writing, composing, arranging, recording, and producing his latest single, so you’ll have fun listening to it. As a perfect follow-up of his previous works, “Into The Light” showcases his continuous evolution as an artist who always offers top-notch ideas and musicianship. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it.
