Stefan West – Happily Ever After

Happily Ever After” is the second single from “Cambridge,” an upcoming full-length release by Australian singer-songwriter Stefan West. It serves as a perfect follow-up of the “Take What You Need,” another mesmerizing single released earlier this year. For those who might not know, Stefan West combines his tremendous singer-songwriter abilities with some of the finest sonic ingredients borrowed from complementary music genres like folk rock, indie folk, indie rock, and indie pop. West uses these additional elements as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details that unquestionably uplift this mesmerizing composition on an entirely new level, while the artist remains loyal to the primary sonic direction. Therefore, these experimentations with different styles resulted in a magnificent indie number that will appeal to even the pickiest fans and beyond.

Stefan West incorporated all his experience, knowledge, skills, talent, ideas, and musicianship into “Happily Ever After.” You’ll immediately notice how his outstanding vocal performance emphasizes all the instrumentations by skillfully gliding over the low, mid, and high notes. These vocal harmonies decorate segments from scratch to finish, giving more complexity to an already ethereal atmosphere. He thought about even the tiniest details while assembling this indie folk ballad, so every mentioned segment comes with semi-distorted leads, accentuations, and other sonic maneuvers while the arpeggiated and regular chord progressions serve as a perfect backdrop that helps out West’s vocal performance to shine even more. Of course, this profoundly creative artist thought about other instrumentations too, so you’ll hear how the equally complex, vividly hearable, warm-sounding basslines provide more than necessary heaviness, depth, and clarity. The outstanding drumming performance based upon moderate, well-accentuated beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics offers groove and pace but also keeps the rest of the instrumentations in line.

Stefan West doesn’t joke around with his music. You’ll hear how every instrumentation shines in the mix thanks to the sound that meets all the trends in music production. All the details, accentuations, and nuances are vividly hearable from scratch to finish, making “Happily Ever After” even more appealing to the listening apparatus. Still, Stefan West’s sincere, confident, emotive, powerful vocal performance and storytelling lyricism steal the show here. He poured so much time and ideas into “Happily Ever After,” and the effort paid off in a mesmerizing number suitable for any mood and occasion. You should put Stefan West’s new single on your radar as soon as possible because “Happily Ever After” will motivate you to revisit his discography and wait for the upcoming album with anticipation. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
