The Project – Best Days

Best Days” is a debut single by The Project, a Southern California supergroup consisting of James Davis, acclaimed lead guitarist of Shameless, exceptional vocalist Jeff Plant, and skillful drummer Andre Bonter. With decades of experience and knowledge, The Project delivers outstanding rock ‘n’ roll music that will satisfy even the pickiest fans of the genre. These folks combine some of the best sonic ingredients borrowed from the eighties glam rock, hard rock, classic rock, sixties garage, and nineties alternative, but don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some hints of contemporary indie music, pop-punk, and power pop music. The Project incorporates only the best elements of these subgenres to depict a rich and luxurious ambiance that will resonate with even those newbies to these genres.

You’ll immediately notice that The Project don’t joke around with their sound. The guitars burst with tremendous power and precision by delivering cleverly assembled themes, leads, melodies, chord progressions, and riffs. Every segment comes with impressive instrumentations that showcase their profound love for rock ‘n’ roll music. Of course, this composition wouldn’t be complete without equally complex low-end notes that provide more than necessary heaviness, depth, and clarity. The drumming performance goes beyond comprehension many times throughout the entire track, and this level of confidence, precision, and dynamics is rarely seen or heard nowadays. Still, Jeff Plant steals the show with his mindblowing balance between low, mid, and high notes. His vocal performance emphasizes everything James Davis and Andre Bonter tried to achieve with this magnificent song.

“Best Days” has a perfect structure that carries many intricate segments, fully stacked with many sonic delicacies and surprises. Every band member plays a significant role in building a catchy, anthemic, energetic, mesmerizing ambiance that meets all the criteria of glam, hard, classic, and modern rock. As soon as you press play, you’ll notice all the experience, brilliant ideas, and exceptional musicianship these guys have invested into it. Their effort paid off in a song that will suit all die-hard fans of the genre, and even those newbies stumbling upon some proper rock ‘n’ roll music for the first time. “Best Days” is the real deal, in-your-face modern hard rock anthem with many elements that evoke some nostalgia, and it’s more than obvious that The Project is one of those new bands you should pay attention to. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
