Stray Native return with the deluxe edition of Predators featuring two new acoustic versions of fan favourites ‘Run’ & ‘Young Hearted’. Highly praised by Alyx Holcombe on her ‘Feedback Friday’ feature & selected by BBC Introducing as one of the ‘Best of The Year’, this latest release will quench your thirst whilst the guys lock themselves away writing and recording in preparation for new material in 2024; a year which they intend to make their own and finish by being a name on everyone’s lips.
The band comment: “Predators was a massive achievement for us. We were a band for 4 years before we put out our debut EP and one year on we are still extremely proud of the songs on this EP. We wanted to explore a couple of the songs more, so to celebrate the year anniversary we re-recorded Run and Young Hearted as acoustic versions to showcase them in a new light.“
Drawing influences from the likes of Thrice, Incubus and Queens of the Stone Age, the quintet have perfectly crafted their sonic sound over a number of years before deciding to unleash it on the rest of the world. Following the earlier video releases of singles ‘Grow’ and ‘Glassjaw’, the guys return with this acoustic version of ‘Run’ – a track which blew the crowds away when they supported Cabin Boy Jumped Ship, also at their sold-out headline show at Peterborough’s Met Lounge and again at their main-stage appearance at The Willow Festival this summer.
With their follow-up EP coming in 2024, this is your last chance to get on board with these guys early and say “I was there from the beginning”.
