Edie Yvonne – Darkness Bliss

Darkness Bliss” is a brand-new single by Edie Yvonne, a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter. It’s a song that serves as an adequate continuation of “Eyes Of Lies,” “Random Boy,” “Stain,” “In The Rain,” “On Your Rain,” and “Queen Bee,” a composition Yvonne released earlier this year. “Darkness Bliss” is a tale of a fallen friendship, a meaningful and relatable number that will resonate with the broader auditorium. Soundwise, Edie Yvonne combines a singer-songwriter approach with some of the finest properties borrowed from complementary music genres like indie pop, alt-pop, dark pop, pop rock, indie rock, cinematic ambient, etc. The additional elements serve as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details that unquestionably uplift this track on an entirely new level while the artist remains loyal to the primary sonic direction. These experimentations with various styles resulted in a powerful indie pop song that will appeal to even the pickiest listeners.

You’ll immediately notice that Edie Yvonne’s outstanding vocal performance is the centerpiece. Her balance between low, mid, and high notes flawlessly emphasizes everything she tried to achieve with her song. “Darkness Bliss” commences with the catchy, semi-distorted guitar theme and accompanying chord progressions, serving as a perfect overture for Yvonne’s vocal harmonies. The track gradually gets its shape by introducing equally complex, vividly hearable, warm-sounding basslines that undoubtedly provide more heaviness, depth, and clarity to the atmosphere, while the rhythmic sequences based on well-accentuated, downtempo beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics direct the groove and pace from scratch to finish. Every instrumentation serves its purpose and plays a significant role in shaping such a rich and luxurious ambiance.

Edie Yvonne thoroughly planned everything while writing, composing, recording, and producing her new song. The song structure consists of cleverly arranged segments where every instrumentation resonates with calm, relaxing, ethereal notes. You’ll hear how “Darkness Bliss” gradually becomes even more detailed with each following verse and chorus, but the beat continuously remains the same. This way, Edie Yvonne made sure your listening apparatus will remain solely focused on her sincere, confident, powerful vocal performance and orchestrations. “Darkness Bliss” is undoubtedly a song that stands out from the remainder of the indie pop scene because Edie Yvonne’s ideas, talent, and creativity shine through in every segment of the song. You should check it out as soon as possible. The single is available on all streaming platforms.
