Today, we’re thrilled to premiere “Dead Holiday,” a new track by MoonKill.
Crooning & howling vocals, spacey guitar tones, and catchy riffs, backed by driving drums: Austin quartet MoonKill cut to the chase with aggressive punk-metal fury. Take the dark campy melodies and vocal prowess of early Misfits, crossed with the churning, buzzing rage of American Sharks and Red Fang.
MoonKill was formed when 4 longtime friends realized they all had intersecting musical interests. Borrowing elements from their previous acts, the members brought punk, hardcore, space rock, and even new wave styles together to create a sound that is uniquely their own. Their self-produced, 3 song EP, The Kong Sessions, is a limited release for Fall ’23. The band is currently working on a full length album with producer Roky Moon (whom, it should be noted, the band does not wish to kill), set to be released October 31, 2023.
