Liam Dutch – You Can Be The Star

After many outstanding singles, such as Settle Down, What’s Your Problem, Freaky Dreams, and an excellent debut extended play release called Melancholy Junction, Glasgow-based artist Liam Dutch returns with another exceptional composition that will unquestionably appeal to all alternative rock fans. You Can Be The Star is his first offering this year, and it serves as an appropriate continuation of his previous works. However, if you compare You Can Be The Star with the remainder of Liam Dutch‘s discography, you’ll notice many innovations in songwriting, composing, and producing. Soundwise, this number explores the nineties’ alternative rock aesthetics, but there are also many elements of modern alternative music as well. Still, don’t be surprised if you stumble upon other sonic ingredients borrowed from music genres, such as nineties indie, glam, rock ‘n’ roll, contemporary rock, etc. All these additional elements serve as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, and decorations that uplift You Can Be The Star on an entirely new level.

Of course, you’ll immediately notice that Liam Dutch‘s hypnotic, mesmerizing, outstanding vocal performance is a centerpiece of the song. His singing technics perfectly match fuzzy, raw, abrasive, heavily distorted riffs, leads, and other guitar maneuvers. You’ll also notice how cleverly assembled low-end tones give even more power to these riffs, but also serve as a binding element between the beforementioned instrument and exceptional drumming performance built upon moderate, detailed, well-accentuated beats, breaks, drum fills, and other percussive acrobatics. Liam Dutch thought about every detail while assembling this catchy alternative rock song, and you’ll unquestionably hear how each segment burst with a wild, hypnotic, danceable ambiance. You Can Be The Star will instantly grab your attention and force you to spin it over and over again. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it.
