FLOYA‘s new single “willows” mixes rock and EDM.
Watch the video here. The song will be available on DSPs on Friday, February 17.
“‘Willows’ is about taking risks,” the duo states. “It tells of how giving in to a specific moment can transform your life forever. As humans, we often shy away from taking risks once we have experienced harm. But the only way to grow is to stay open.”
The song was recorded and produced by Chris Kempe (Embark Audio) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (24-96 Mastering).
Hailing from Germany, Marv Wilder and Phil Bayer found common ground by talking about their childhood influences, namely Peter Gabriel, U2, and Sting. With the vision in mind to fuse a fresh pop x rock sound with the aesthetics of EDM and world music, the pair set out to showcase something fresh and new.
After the successful launch of the single “The Hymn,” the song was featured in an official AFL game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs on Australian Television, marking quite the achievement for such a new act.
