Band Of The Year – Money Talks

After a series of singles like Please Don’t Talk To Me, Lady London, I Don’t Know What To Do, Medicine, and Stranded, London-based punk rock group Band Of The Year returns with the first track this year. Money Talks is unquestionably one of those tracks that will catch your attention if you’re into contemporary punk rock. It serves as an appropriate continuation of their previous works, but it also delivers some innovations in terms of ideas and production. Perhaps Band Of The Year almost solely relies on the fundamentals of modern punk rock, but you’ll hear how some other music genres shaped the sound of Money Talks. Therefore, you’ll notice some of the finest properties of post-punk, garage rock, indie rock, and alternative.

These music genres serve as more than necessary enhancement, accentuations, decorations, and all other elements that define the best punk rock or garage rock out there. Money Talks shines bright with perfectly arranged segments that will satisfy even the pickiest fans of the mentioned genres, but there’s no doubt this song will also appeal to those listeners who’re not into these genres at all. There are many catchy post-punk chord progressions and heavy garage rock riffs, which perfectly match vocal harmonies. You’ll be surprised how equally complex basslines pair with the guitars and shape the ambiance supported by heavy dynamic, energetic rhythmic sequences. As soon as you press play, you’ll notice these are experienced musicians who know how to write and compose a perfect punk rock song. Do not miss Money Talks because there is a high probability you’ll include this track on your playlist. The single is available on all streaming platforms.
