MOTE – Industrial Love

After a series of singles launched in 2022, an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, MOTE, returns with another brilliant composition. Industrial Love is his sixth song in the row from the series of singles launched in 2020 and the first number this year. Of course, MOTE released many other recordings, such as full-lengths and EPs, but let’s focus on this particular song.

Perhaps MOTE comes from Nashville, Tennessee, but his music leans much more towards the European school of synth-pop, post-pop, indie pop, new wave, and other similar music genres that spawned during the eighties. Still, Industrial Love isn’t only about that. You’ll hear how contemporary music trends inspired this experienced musician to write, compose, and produce such an ear-appealing song that goes so many ways in terms of music genres. Still, it sounds like a MOTE’s signature sound. There’s no way you won’t notice how synthy melodies and basslines articulate together in harmony while the beats keep the entire song dynamic from scratch to finish.

The verse resonates with an almost minimalist ambiance, but the chorus showcases even more melodies, harmonies, delicate tones, and basslines operating harmoniously together while the beat remains the same. MOTE’s calmy vocal perfectly pairs with all the orchestrations but somehow keeps your attention to the cleverly assembled lyrics during the entire song. You’ll also notice how many renowned artists inspired MOTE to compose this track. Still, you’ll realize after a while that Industrial Love undoubtfully sounds fresh and unique. This track will be right up your alley if you’re looking out for contemporary synth-pop music with a touch of sonic nostalgia that applies to the listening apparatus all the time. Industrial Love is available for listening to on all streaming platforms.
