Dude Safari Have Released New Single

Treading Water, a new single from UK Grunge-Pop band Dude Safari is out now.

Dude Safari are four boys from Surrey and West Sussex in England

They formed during the 2021 lockdown and managed to release five singles during the year by recording and mixing at home & by using remote studios.

During these releases the boys found themselves being playlisted heavily by the likes of SpotifyApple MusicAmazon & even being included in the 2021 End of Year ‘Best of Rock 21’ on Deezeralongside the likes of Foo Fighters, Royal Blood & Muse for their single “Doom & Bloom”.

Dude Safari describes themselves as Grunge Pop, taking inspiration from the likes of Dinosaur Pile-Up, Reuben, Smashing Pumpkins & Weezer.

They’ve had regular airplay from the likes of BBC IntroducingPlanet RockTotal RockGermany’s WDR Radio 1 Live Rockshow & Amazing Radio UK & US with Amazing’s very own Charlie Ashcroft inviting the boys to play in London at his Curated night ‘Somebody Told Me’ this April.

The band released their first single of the year in February ‘I’m No Good (At Any Sports)’ & released new single ‘Treading Water’ on April 29th.

The track is a more sombre themed Grunge -Pop track and is heavily influenced by the loss of Jamie’s (vocals/guitar) mother last year.

Jamie on the single – “When the song was in the first stages of being put together, it was real slow on acoustic guitar…it was one of those sad slow tracks that usually appear on albums. It didn’t really fit in that sense, and given what the song is about, huge..dramatic loss & an awful year in the general worldly humanic state as it was also. So I just sped up the melodic guitar part and tried to make it sound less depressing.

Maybe I’ll write a sad song when the world is in a more happy place, to balance it out a tad more.”

The band were also approached to be interviewed and played by the legendary KROQ radio in LA, which will be aired in April.
