Fresh off of their recent Billboard charting achievement, CHARGER has announced a summer east coast tour in support of their debut LP “Warhorse!” This will be the band’s first time playing the east coast.
With the release of “Warhorse,” the band hit #14 in Current Hard Music and #37 Current Rock charts. The album, along with new merch and a limited edition 7”, are now available on Pirates Press Records’ webstore and in local record stores around the world.
Charger consists of McGee, Matt Freeman (Rancid, Operation Ivy) singing and playing bass, and Jason Willer (UK Subs, Jello Biafra’s Guantanamo School of Medicine) who drums and sings too.
After months of being locked away writing new songs, the band went into Atomic Garden Studios in Oakland for two weeks to record, Warhorse is the follow-up to the band’s previous releases on Pirates Press Records – their debut self-titled EP and two singles “Watch Your Back” and “Stay Down.”
Formed in 2018, Charger was very much a musical challenge between a few lifers in the punk scene who wanted to push each other to dig deep into their shared roots, influences, and musical passions, to create something truly exciting. The resulting efforts have been fast and in-your-face tunes paying homage to the legends of rock ‘n roll and metal while carving out their own unique style that has fans around the world encapsulated.
