London-based alternative rock singer-songwriter Kav has released a new single yesterday. Animal Brain is his second single in the row and the first single in 2022. For this particular Kav decided to combine alternative rock orchestrations with the ambiance borrowed from genres like shoegaze or dream pop. These experimentations with sound resulted in reverby, echoic, cathartic alt-shoegaze numbers fully stacked with calmy, soothing, relaxing chord progressions, harmonies, melodies, colossal low-end tones, and heavy rhythmic structures. The entire composition bursts with such an ear-appealing atmosphere that will unquestionably indulge even the pickiest ears who’re into the beforementioned music genres.
Perhaps Animal Brain appears as an echoic alternative rock ballad, but this song carries more than meets the eye. Kav invested brilliant ideas and a lot of effort while writing, composing, recording, and producing this number. His effort to deliver another outstanding track is vividly hearable from scratch to finish. No matter which instrument we’re talking about, each one of them sounds superb, and Kav’s vocals are coming as an additional layer of pleasant melodies over the top.
