Lisbon, Portugal post-rock project A Flight Of Giants promotes his debut single. Homebound represents a wisely assembled sonic exploration into the depths of the post-rock universe. The composition commences with soothing atmospheric that gradually evolve into cathartic, moderate, detailed post-rock orchestrations, decorated by heavy dosages of cinematic ambiance. Still, A Flight Of Giants also incorporates generous servings of doom rock and sludge, so the beforementioned atmosphere has a nice contrast on the other side of the sonic spectrum. All melodies, harmonies, chord progressions, riffs are implemented with a lot of style and perfect sense for balance. Homebound is a piece of musical artistry that will remain on your playlist for a very long time.
Emanuel Henriques (original drummer for Mourning Lenore, ex-guitars on Enchantya) is the mastermind behind this project who, besides other instruments, took the duty of performing rhythmic sequences. Like all the beforementioned instruments, Emanuel took the drumming on an entirely new level by implementing slow, heavy, dynamic down-tempo rhythmic maneuvers. Each ingredient represents an equally significant element that makes Homebound even more pleasing, and there’s not even the slightest doubt A Flight Of Giants will suit all the admirers of post-rock, post-metal, doom, and sludge music. Homebound is available for listening on all streaming services. Don’t miss this one!
