Glass is the second full-length recording by The Arthurs, an alternative rock quartet consisting of musicians from Amsterdam and Rotterdam. This particular album carries ten compositions that are exploring some other genres besides alternative rock. The Arthurs are incorporating ingredients such as shoegaze, dream pop, indie rock, grunge, and classic rock. They draw influences from renowned greats of these genres, such as Pixies, The Doors, The Smiths, Nirvana, but their sound goes into further explorations as you dig deeper into this full-length material. Glass has seen the light of the day on June 25th, so The Arthurs already received countless positive feedbacks from music critics and broader auditorium. The overwhelming amount of positive feedback stands as living proof of the quality of this creative Dutch alternative rock group.
The group solely relies upon echoic, reverby, nearly cathartic harmonies and melodies, flawlessly assembled to illustrate the sonic imagery of the group. Nevertheless, The Arthurs are exploring the depths of the beforementioned genres as you delve deeper into the Glass without sounding repetitious and bland. Quite the contrary, their music seems even more ear-appealing, pleasant and interesting as you drench into the fundamentals of their sound. Glass is available at Spotify, Bandcamp, and YouTube.
