Frantic Vibe is a new music project by Howard Herrick, a longtime music enthusiast, and accomplished composer and musician. Besides being an accomplished artist in all spheres of the music business, Howard Herrick’s influences and music compositions are spanning over several genres, such as pop, rock, jazz, blues, dance, trance, electronic, and indie. He also wrote scores for numerous major motion pictures and theatre productions, including My One and Only (2009), Vanishing on 7th Street (2010), Very Good Girls (2014), Nightlight (2015), and Peter Pan 360 (2016). Herrick has also worked on film productions as an executive music producer and has written, composed, recorded for a diverse major label and indie artists. Herrick also scored music for Shaquille O’Neal’s latest video game “Shaq-Fu”. His contemporary music library counts over 1,500 licensed compositions, composed all by himself.

However, Howard doesn’t stop there. His latest music endeavor explores the aesthetics of hard rock, heavy metal and pushes forward these ferocious genres to the very limits. Besides being very busy writing, composing, recording, producing, Howard is pulling impressive tricks from his sleeves and elevating these genres on an entirely new level. Perhaps these two genres are the most dominant ones throughout the entire recording, but you may notice the presence of other elements, such as industrial, electronic, alternative, or any other modern genre you could possibly think of at the moment. Still, the presence of hard rock and heavy metal music dominates during the entire full-length album.

Frantic Vibe encapsulates progressive rock, psychedelic rock, classic rock, hard rock, hard’n’heavy, heavy metal, progressive metal, post-metal, industrial metal, and modern melodic metal into the harmonious slab of noise. Still, this colossal slab of noise is ear-appealing to the maximum and you’ll solely enjoy the exceptional musicianship of the author. Right with the initial beats, you’ll hear Harold’s terrific high-pitched voice, entirely performed in seventies hard’n’heavy and eighties glam rock style. The robust riffages, powerful bare chords are striking the listening apparatus with all their ferociousness, aggression, and precision. The generous portions of melodies, harmonies, guitar solos overlay robust riffages, but both guitars are wondrously produced. Your listening apparatus will embrace all these tones with such ease, and you will crave for more.

However, this is just the beginning. Howard decided to include beautiful piano themes and synth atmospherics throughout the entire album. These keys are leaving a strong space rock and neo-classical feel to this material. The low-end tones are punching from beneath through cleverly arranged basslines. The bass guitar gives more than necessary support to middle and high tones but also serves as a bonding layer between guitars, keys, and rhythm section. The excellent drumming performance delivers more than enough dynamics to the table, so this full-length appears as energetic machinery that tears down everything in the broader radius. Just like every other instrument included on the bill, the drums are produced to perfection.

If you’re looking out for closer comparison, Frantic Vibe sounds like a modernized version of Axe, Rush, W.A.S.P, Bon Jovi, Guns’N’Roses, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, but with even more relentless power added to enhance the listening experience. Of course, these are just comparisons to give you a hint about Frantic Vibe’s music, and you should check out the entire album and decide for yourself. The album comes on a compact disc strictly limited to 100 copies, but it is also available on streaming services, such as Spotify, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, and YouTube. Don’t miss this one out!
