British Birds Drop New Song “Lie Down With Dogs”

Chorley, Lancashire DIY outfit British Birds have announced their new album alongside lead single, “Lie Down With Dogs, Stand Up With Fleas.” Combining garage-punk energy with sharp English satire, siblings Bobby and Emma Townson deliver a rousing expression of exasperation against lame authority, wrapped in house-sized pop choruses.

Relying on their resolutely independent approach—Bobby handles all recording while Emma designs the artwork—British Birds have built a reputation through Marc Riley sessions and tours with BC Camplight. Their upcoming LP, Murmurate, Oscillate, tackles social observations, military trauma, and relationship friction with dark humor and fierce guitar work. A limited-edition lathe-cut single and cassette physical release are available now, preceding an extensive UK headline tour scheduled for early 2027 with launch shows in Blackpool and London.
