Backsprint Shares New Irish Folk Song “You and Me Honey”

Belgrade’s country rock powerhouse Backsprint made a surprising and beautiful pivot last Friday, May 22, 2026, with the release of their new single, “You and Me Honey.” Stepping away from their usual Whiskey Myers and Merle Haggard-inspired grit, the band delivers a stunning Irish folk track.

Written by vocalist Uroš Jojić for his wife while waiting for a flight, the song features PhD researcher and accomplished fiddler Neda Nikolić. Staying completely true to their raw, authentic ethos, the band recorded the track live in the room with multiple takes, zero overdubs, and no click track. “You and Me Honey” is the first of nine unreleased tracks dropping every three weeks leading into November. Fans can catch Backsprint performing these upcoming songs live when they open for American funk bassist Nik West at the Bitef Art Cafe on September 24, 2026.
