Rising Baltimore indie artist Plant Dad (Ralph Bernabe) has collaborated with acclaimed singer-songwriter Jessica Lea Mayfield for the flirty new single, “i wish ur mine.” Drawing comparisons to Wallows and Faye Webster, the track is a bright, jangly duet that perfectly captures the “pre-move” rush of a new crush.
Bernabe, a long-time fan of Mayfield, described the collaboration as a “no-brainer” milestone. With its breezy chemistry and playful vocals, the track is already being hailed as a song-of-the-summer contender. It’s the kind of hook-driven indie-pop that feels destined for viral TikTok captions and sun-soaked playlists. “i wish ur mine” is out now, pairing Plant Dad’s colorful sensibilities with Mayfield’s signature effortless cool.
