Post-Punk Trio Bloodworm Shares “Bloodlust”

Nottingham’s Bloodworm today share “Bloodlust”, their first single of 2026 and an immediate introduction to a band who arrive fully-formed.

Honing their craft across formative shows over the last eighteen months, the band have already been the subject of feverish word of mouth attention and amassed a significant fanbase at home, selling out The Bodega as headliners at Halloween, and at one of their recent, earliest London shows, Richard Oakes of Suede happened to be in the audience by chance – so impressed was he by the young trio that they were offered, and will now support, on the band’s 17 date sold-out tour starting at the end of this month.

The atmospheric “Bloodlust” is paired to a video by Seth Lloyd, and is a slice of shadowy post-punk which harks back to a classic age. An immediate, propulsive bassline and shimmering guitars bring to mind the likes of The Cure, The Sound and Echo & The Bunnymen.

Of the new single, the band’s frontman George Curtis says:

‘”‘Bloodlust’ was written about the duality of relationships and the angst of being stuck in a small town. We had the raw excitement of starting something new and just not really caring about anything else aside from the music itself. We’ve really tried to capture the feeling of that energy in the recording.”

Further new music from Bloodworm will follow in 2026.
