GUV, the acclaimed guitar-pop project of Ben Cook, is ringing in the new year with the infectious new single, ‘Chasin’ Luv.’ The track serves as the final teaser for the upcoming album, Warmer Than Gold, set for release on January 30th via Run For Cover Records. While previous singles leaned into danceable beats and dreamy textures, ‘Chasin’ Luv’ returns to the project’s roots with plenty of effervescent jangle and scrappy C86 charm.
Cook has long been a master of ultra-hooky songwriting, and Warmer Than Gold represents a sophisticated evolution of that craft. The new record promises a blend of driving energy and atmospheric beauty, solidifying GUV’s place as a staple of modern indie pop. With its bright melodies and driving rhythm, ‘Chasin’ Luv’ is the perfect anthem to shake off the winter chill.
